Project Manager IV (Supplier Onboarding Process Improvement)

100% Remote (CST/EST hours)

12- month contract

$60.00-$65.00/Hour.

We are seeking a Project Manager Level 4 to support an enterprise initiative focused on streamlining and improving the bank's supplier/third-party onboarding process.

While the position carries a Project Manager title, this role is heavily weighted toward process expertise, workflow analysis, process mapping, and process improvement than traditional project management. The ideal candidate will be able to understand complex processes, map the current state, identify inefficiencies, challenge assumptions, and help design a more efficient future-state process while maintaining appropriate regulatory and risk controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support multiple work streams within a broader supplier/third-party onboarding improvement initiative.
  • Document and map current-state processes using Microsoft Visio.
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews and working sessions to understand how processes actually operate.
  • Create detailed, high-quality workflow/process maps that can withstand internal audit review.
  • Identify gaps, redundancies, unnecessary steps, handoffs, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies.
  • Challenge stakeholder assumptions and uncover process steps that may not be explicitly documented.
  • Develop recommendations for a more streamlined and strategic future-state process.
  • Balance process efficiency with regulatory requirements, risk considerations, and required controls.
  • Help determine the appropriate level of rigor based on the risk and complexity of the supplier/request.
  • Coordinate approximately 5–6 work streams and keep stakeholders aligned and moving forward.
  • Track action items, follow up with stakeholders, gather missing information, document decisions, and ensure work does not get lost.
  • Facilitate meetings with large groups, smaller teams, and individual process owners.
  • Build stakeholder alignment and buy-in around current-state findings and future-state recommendations.
Required Skills
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience
  • Strong hands-on Microsoft Visio experience — #1 priority
  • Must have actually created detailed process maps/workflows in Visio.
  • Should be able to build clear, audit-ready process documentation.
  • Strong process/workflow expertise — #2 priority
  • Experience with process mapping, workflow analysis, and process improvement.
  • Able to understand complex processes end-to-end, identify gaps/inefficiencies, and challenge stakeholder assumptions.
  • Strong stakeholder interview, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Banking experience strongly preferred
  • TPRM / supplier or vendor onboarding experience is a major plus.
  • Understands the importance of regulatory requirements, controls, and proper documentation.
