Role Overview

As a Construction Manager Work Package Owner CSA, you’ll join our collaborative team providing award‑winning planning, engineering, architectural design, construction management, and design‑build project delivery. We are looking for a passionate Construction Management – (CSA) Civil/Structural/Architectural Work Package Owner (WPO) Professional in Baton Rouge, LA (or other US JACOBS offices) driven by collaboration, exceeding expectations, and challenging the status‑quo.

Routine responsibilities
  • Hosts weekly meetings with the Subcontractor and takes suitable notes, aligning with Subcontract Administrator to ensure all items captured accurately. Distributes MM after each meeting to attendees.
  • Ensures that Subcontractor has latest version of all technical documents, including drawings and specifications.
  • Reviews all RFI’s & submittals to ensure completeness prior to Subcontractor submission.
  • Monitors return of RFIs and Submittals from the Subcontractor, and expedites assistance from engineering disciplines as required.
  • Visits subcontractor fabrication shops as required to expedite material deliveries and verify work in progress.
  • Works with Construction Management and field superintendent to ensure material deliveries are sequenced and coordinated.
  • Monitors Subcontractor’s schedule on a weekly basis and escalates any issues to the ACM and Subcontracts Administrator, working closely with the field superintendents and project controls to track progress measurements.
  • Evaluates potential changes, including identified but not yet priced and unit rate to IFC pricing, and processes changes promptly into Unifier with Subcontractor and cost control.
  • Reviews, coordinates any changes required, and approves pay applications before they are presented to the ACM for final approval.
Here’s what you’ll need
  • 10+ years of experience managing construction projects related to life science and/or pharmaceutical production facility construction.
  • Strong working knowledge of pre‑design and pre‑construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building.
  • Demonstrated expert knowledge of construction management in civil, structural, and architectural sectors.
  • Experience leading contractors and superintendents for current scope, engineering information, and document drawings/specifications for construction execution.
  • Ability to manage CSA scopes of work from the initial bid phase through execution, turnover, and close out of the subcontract.
  • Experience monitoring project budgets to ensure project requirements are met.
Ideally, you’ll have the following experience
  • Ability to work with engineering and subcontracting to develop scopes of work for CSA related bid packages.
  • Liaise between Subcontracts Department and Engineering to assure all engineering requirements are met during the bid phase and manage any changes or additions.
