What You'll Do
ECS Limited is offering a unique opportunity for a talented and certified Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Senior Field Technician to join our Oklahoma City team. We offer opportunities for professional development with additional incentives as you advance your skills and gain experience. In this role, you'll collaborate and develop with experienced project management professionals to safely perform a variety of tasks in the Field Services department.
Responsibilities
Activities:
Perform observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement on construction sites; execute tasks based on project requirements under the guidance of senior technicians, staff professionals, and project managers.
Conduct routine field tests for soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement using industry-standard methodologies and testing equipment, ensuring compliance.
Perform calculations and data reduction based on sampling, test results, and inspections; develop skills in documentation and prepare field reports documenting site observations.
Maintain daily communication with site contractors, other technicians, and project managers; keep supervisors informed of site conditions and testing requests; attend project meetings as needed.
Receive training in ECS methodologies for observations, inspections, and testing; document findings accurately following engineering practices.

What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Current basic level certifications with willingness to maintain them and obtain 2 additional advanced certifications.
- OSHA 10 certification is a plus.
- Ability to carry 40-70 lbs multiple times daily and occasionally lift 85 lbs to waist height.
- Valid driver's license and insurance.
- Reliable transportation for job sites; mileage reimbursed.
- Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, writing).
- Understanding of heavy construction safety practices.
- Effective working relationships with clients, peers, and supervisors.
- Proficiency with electronic devices such as phones, tablets, and laptops.
- Strong math skills, map reading, and interpreting engineering plans.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office.
