Senior Construction Materials Field Technician

Join ECS Limited, a leader in construction materials testing, as a certified Senior Field Technician in Oklahoma City.

• Perform observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of materials including soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement on construction sites under the guidance of senior technicians and project managers.
• Conduct routine field tests for soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement using industry-standard methodologies and equipment.
• Calculate and reduce data based on sampling, test results, and inspections; prepare field reports documenting site observations and field work performed.
• Maintain daily communication with site contractors, other technicians, and project managers; keep supervisors and project teams informed of changing site conditions and additional testing requested.
• Receive training in ECS methodology for project observations, inspections, and testing; document findings with precision in accordance with accepted engineering practices.

• 2+ years of related experience in construction materials testing.
• High School diploma or GED; must have and be willing to maintain current basic level certifications and an additional 2 advanced certifications.
• Must have valid driver’s license and insurance; provide suitable transportation for job sites (mileage reimbursed).
• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing); strong math skills; basic knowledge of MS Office.
• OSHA 10 is a plus.
• Position requires carrying 40-70 lbs multiple times a day or occasionally lifting 85 lbs to waist height.
• Ability to work effectively with clients, peers, and supervisors; proficiency with electronic devices such as phones, tablets, and laptops.
• Excellent understanding of heavy construction safety, practices, and procedures.
