Assistant Superintendent; Electrical

Edge Hill Integrated Systems was created to bring Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing scopes together under one
coordinated trade platform. By integrating these major building systems, EIS is able to improve communication,
reduce coordination gaps, identify conflicts earlier, and create a more consistent approach from estimating through
project closeout. Our focus is not only to perform individual trade scopes, but to understand how each system
impacts the others in the field. Through shared planning, coordinated buyout, aligned scheduling, consistent
QA/QC, and strong field leadership, EIS supports a more efficient construction process and helps deliver projects
with better control, accountability, and predictability.

The Assistant Superintendent supports Superintendent and field team with managing daily jobsite activities. In
addition to these duties, this role is focused on learning key aspects of field management including planning &
scheduling, drawing reviews, quality control, and subcontractor coordination.

All activities will be performed in support of the values of Elmington Construction.

• Models safety as a core guiding principle & brings concerns to the attention of the Superintendent
• Manages subcontractors to ensure proper housekeeping on project sites and ensures we are following the proper legal workflow
• Assists in onsite safety orientations and toolbox talks
• Coordinates with Superintendent to ensure proper jobsite setup
• Learns how to perform detailed plan reviews and stays ahead of RFI’s and future coordination issues
• Assists in daily reports, progress reports, and compliance reports
• Learns/assists in planning the project
• Assists Superintendent in verifying subcontractor durations, sequencing and predecessor/successor relationships. Assists in identifying problems & implementing solutions in time to maintain workflow.
• Plans and establishes the flow of the work activities on the project
• Provides supporting information for schedule updates
• Responsible for documenting schedules issues with photos & written communication and then communicating defaults to the Super & PM team to hold subs to contractual obligations
• Ensures all installed material is per specs and submittals
• Ensures performed work is per construction documents
• Responsible for daily reports, Procore observations, & Procore Inspections
• Responsible for documenting sub quality issues with photos and written documentation and then communicating defaults to the PM to hold subs to contractual obligations
• Drives project closeout and owner turnover
• Communicates any material delivery needs to project team & Superintendent
• Attends & participates in subcontractor coordination meetings
• Demonstrates adherence to EC policy and processes and teaches EC policy and processes to newteam members

• A high school degree/GED is required.
• Commercial/Multi-Family Electrical Construction experience preferred

• Must be able to work outside on construction site including all types of weather (extremes of hot/cold)
• You will be working in a temporary facility/structure
• Able to stand; crawl; climb ladders & stairs; balance; stoop and kneel; etc (physical activities associated with construction sites)
• You must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception,and the ability to adjust focus
