Description
Site Safety&Health Officer(SSHO) isresponsibleforthedevelopmentand/orreviewofthe
Accident Prevention Plan ,activityhazardanalysis’s,onsitesafetyeducation,toolboxsafetymeetings,allaroundsafetycomplianceoftheproject,andaproactiveattitudetowardssolvingdifficultsite-specificsafetyissues.
SSHOisresponsibleformanaging,implementing,andenforcingtheproject
Accident Prevention Plan .
- Conductjobhazardsanalysitoidentifyhazardsandpotentialrisks.
- Completesafetyauditsandensureremedialactionasnecessary.
- Implementandenforceaccidentpreventionplansandensurecontractorcompliance.
- Maintainsqualitycontrolbyconductingdailysafetywalksandhealthinspectionsonthejobsite.
- Developsitespecificsafetyprograms/planstoincludeemergencyactionsresponse,evacuationsandsecurityplans.
- Interpretandapplyregulatoryrequirementsapplicabletotheprojectscopeofwork.
- Ensureadherencetocompanysafetyandinsuranceprotocolsandcompliance.
- Conductandparticipateinsafetyandsubcontractorprogressmeetings.
- Completeallreportsandrecordsinanaccurateandtimelymanner.
- Strongcomputerskillsandfamiliaritywith Microsoft Office Suiteand Share Point .
- Mustbeabletomanageprojectsof2to15millioninsize.
- Mustbeabletoobtainaccesstoa Federal Installation
- EM385-1-1
- OSHA,CHST,CPR&First Aid Certified
- Knowledge of Resident Management System (RMS
Thephysicaldemandsdescribedherearerepresentativeofthosethatmustbemetbyanemployeetosuccessfullyperformtheessentialfunctionsofthisjob.
Whileperformingthedutiesofthisjob,theemployeeisregularlyrequiredtosit;useofhands,reachwithhandsandarms;talkorhearandsmell.
Theemployeeisfrequentlyrequiredtostandandwalkincludingstairsorotherelevatedstructures.
Theemployeeisoccasionallyrequiredtoclimborbalanceandstoop,kneelorcrouch.
Theemployeemustbeabletoliftand/ormoveupto
50pounds.
Specificvision,color vision,peripheral vision,depthperceptionandabilitytoadjustfocus.
Whileperformingthedutiesofthisjob,theemployeeregularlyworkson-siteattheconstructionworksitewhereemployeesareexposedtomovingmechanicalparts;high places;fumesorairborneparticles,outsideweatherconditions.
Thenoiseintheseworkenvironmentsisusuallymoderatetoveryloud.
