Customer Service Specialist - Part time

Reports To: Director of Customer Service

Position Summary

The Customer Service Specialist supports all Museum of the Bible customers by assessing their needs, identifying the appropriate solution and driving it to resolution to ensure a positive customer experience. The successful candidate will have a strong command of MOTB policies, extensive knowledge of MOTB products/services and the ability to offer quick and accurate assistance to customers. The Customer Service Specialist will also be responsible for daily analytical reporting of all MOTB’s products and services.

Duties

and Responsibilities
  • Manage incoming calls and maintain an elevated level of professionalism with customers
  • Monitor customer service e-mail
  • Respond to I-chat
  • Monitor and resolve customer escalations
  • Build sustainable and lasting relationships with MOTB customers
  • Serve as a point of contact for vendors that work with customers
  • Meet customer satisfaction goals
  • Generate reporting on MOTB products and services
  • Help support customer acquisition and retention plans
  • Follow all MOTB policies and procedures
  • Accurate record keeping skills and system notations
  • Handles membership fulfilment or additional duties as needed
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
  • High School Diploma or GED
Qualifications
  • Customer support experience
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Experience in reporting and analysis
  • Understanding of basic business systems
Skills
  • Well‑organized, effective communication skills, patient, empathetic and passionate
  • Efficient in computer skills, able to remain professional and courteous with customers and teammates and be available to work on occasional weekends or nights
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to stay in stationary position for long periods of time
  • May be required to lift 5-10 pounds
