Pay of $20.22 per hour* with the opportunity for future increases per the collective bargaining agreement wage scale. Opportunities for overtime and shift premiums are available.

The Customer Service Agent is the first point of contact for Southwest Customers, welcoming them to the airport and providing a friendly experience at the ticket counter, gate area, and baggage service office. You will help Customers check in, answer questions, and resolve travel‑related issues, ensuring and maintaining a smooth, pleasant journey.
This is a part‑time opportunity.
Part‑time employees generally work 32 hours over 5 days, with schedules determined by a seniority‑based bidding process. New hires complete 4‑6 weeks of training (approximately 8 hours per week). After training, part‑time new hires work 6.5‑hour shifts per day, with the possibility of mandatory overtime.
Work schedules may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Mandatory overtime may be required to support flight operations, yet you may also trade shifts to find a schedule that works for you.
U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the United States is required. No sponsorship is available.

Responsibilities- Provide friendly service and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external Customers.
- Work in a cooperative spirit to ensure the success of Southwest.
- Negotiate and resolve ticketing, check‑in, baggage, and reservation issues.
- Handle cash, checks, credit cards, travel vouchers, and coupons—compute charges, make change, and balance daily transactions.
- Check in baggage and cargo, answer telephone calls thrives, page customers, and assist with boarding.
- Resolve problems related to flight delays, cancellations, and luggage issues within company guidelines.
- Provide up‑to‑date fare, schedule, reservation, and flight information to Customers and visitors.
- Complete required forms, reports, and irregularity or complaint reports as directed.
- Perform other job duties as directed by Leadership and adapt to station needs.
- Type quickly on a computer keyboard and navigate ticketing systems.
- Read and follow detailed instructions, ticketing procedures, and regulations.
- Work well in a team, serve the public, and thrive under stressful conditions.
- Achieve an 80% or higher average during training and meet evaluation criteria.
- Recognize hazardous situations and handle emergencies responsibly.
- Work under tight time constraints for fast aircraft turnovers.
- Maintain a well‑groomed appearance per Southwest guidelines.
- Communicate verbally (phone, face‑to‑face, PA systems) and in writing effectively.
- Use radio equipment to relay instructions as needed.
- No education or experience requirement.
- Must obtain an SIDA badge and meet all local airport requirements.
- May be required to obtain a Customs Seal and meet all international flight requirements.
