Insurance Customer Service Representative

Michael Garey State Farm | NW Oklahoma City, OK

Join a Team That Takes Customer Service Seriously

We are looking for a dependable, professional, and customer-focused person to join our established insurance team in NW Oklahoma City.

This is not a call-center position. You will work directly with customers, build relationships, solve problems, and help people understand and manage their insurance. Our customers rely on our office when they have questions, need to make changes, experience a claim, or simply need someone who will take ownership of an issue and help get it resolved.

If you are organized, detail-oriented, communicate well, and enjoy helping people, we would like to meet you.

What You'll Do

As an Insurance Customer Service Representative, you will help take care of our existing customers and provide the responsive, accurate service they expect from our office.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Answering customer questions regarding auto, home, life, and other insurance policies
  • Assisting with policy changes, vehicle changes, coverage updates, transfers, and other service requests
  • Explaining coverages, premiums, billing, discounts, and policy information in an easy-to-understand manner
  • Helping customers navigate the claim reporting process and connecting them with the appropriate resources
  • Following up on outstanding customer requests and making sure issues are resolved
  • Reviewing customer accounts and identifying opportunities where insurance needs may have changed
  • Maintaining accurate customer and policy documentation
  • Communicating with customers by phone, email, text, and in person
  • Working closely with the rest of our team to provide a consistent customer experience
The Person We're Looking For

You do not need to know everything about insurance on your first day. We can teach insurance. We are looking for someone who brings the right approach to work.

You may be a great fit if you:

  • Genuinely enjoy helping people
  • Communicate professionally and confidently
  • Listen carefully and ask good questions
  • Pay attention to details
  • Stay organized when handling multiple priorities
  • Follow through on commitments Qualifications
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    • Strong attention to detail
    • Comfortable working with computers and learning new systems
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
    • Personal Lines insurance license or ability to obtain
    • Life and Health insurance license or ability to obtain
    • Previous insurance, banking, financial services, or customer service experience is a plus
    Compensation & Benefits
    • Competitive base salary
    • Bonus and incentive opportunities
    • Paid time off
    • 401(k) retirement plan
    • Professional development and insurance licensing opportunities
    • Monday–Friday professional office environment
    Why Join Our Office?

Insurance is ultimately about people. Behind every policy is a customer who expects someone to answer the phone, explain what is happening, help solve the problem, and follow through.

We want our customers to know they have a team they can turn to.

We are looking for someone who wants to become an important part of that team—not simply fill a position.

If that sounds like the type of work environment where you would succeed, we encourage you to apply. We look forward to learning more about you.
