Landscape Designer/Architect – Design-Build Firm (OKC Relocation)
Scapes, Inc. designs and builds $100,000–$750,000 high-end residential landscapes for estate-level clients in Oklahoma City’s most prestigious neighborhoods, including Nichols Hills and Gaillardia.
We are seeking a Landscape Designer / Architect-in-Training to join our growing design team. This role supports two candidate profiles:
- Early-career designers (≈2–3 years) with a strong technical foundation and a desire to grow
- More experienced designers (≈4–7+ years) pursuing licensure and long-term leadership
You will work directly under a licensed Senior Landscape Architect who is approaching retirement, providing rare access to mentorship, responsibility, and a defined licensure track.
Relocation to Oklahoma City is available for the right candidate.

You will contribute across a wide range of high-end residential projects. Responsibilities will scale with experience, ranging from technical design and documentation to estimating, client interaction, and construction coordination.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Documentation
- Produce conceptual plans, schematic designs, planting plans, and construction documents
- Develop AutoCAD or Dynascape drawings, Sketch Up models, and Lumion renderings
- Assist with grading concepts, detailing, and design coordination
Estimating & Design Support
- Assist with cost estimating for landscape, hardscape, planting, lighting, and site elements
- Prepare 3D visuals, presentation materials, and client‑ready deliverables
- Revise plans based on internal and client feedback
Project Coordination
- Prepare takeoffs, material lists, and handoff packages for production teams
- Perform site measurements, as‑built documentation, and project photography
- Attend select site meetings to ensure design intent is executed accurately
Client Interaction
- Participate in client meetings alongside senior staff
- Communicate professionally and represent Scapes, Inc. with confidence
- Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture (BLA)
- 2–7+ years of professional landscape design experience (level dependent)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (or Dynascape), Sketch Up, Lumion, and Microsoft Office
- Strong design, drafting, and digital visualization skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced design‑build environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in high‑end residential or estate‑level projects
- Familiarity with construction standards, grading, and planting design
- Interest in pursuing or continuing progress toward professional licensure
Compensation Range: $60,000 – $100,000+
Final compensation will be based on experience, technical skill, project responsibility, and licensure progression.
