Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Physician Associate in Kingfisher, OK. Responsibilities include providing direct patient care, conducting examinations, interpreting medical histories, diagnosing and treating illnesses, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing treatment plans. You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assess patient health through interviews and physical examinations, including medical histories
- Document patient care services accurately
- Provide outpatient services by appointment
- Offer health maintenance, education, and disease prevention services
- Perform well-women gynecological exams, including screenings and education
- Educate patients on disease processes and health habits
- Stay current on immunization schedules and clinic protocols
- Order and evaluate lab and x-ray studies
- Maintain licensure and continuing medical education
- Prescribe medications within formulary limits
- Participate in community health activities
- Report complex cases to the Medical Director
- Engage effectively with patients, families, and team members
Qualifications
- Valid Physician Associate license in Oklahoma
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Associate program
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in EMR systems
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
