Academic Tutor - Reading Intervention and Dyslexia Specialist

Prep Academy Tutors is seeking a specialist in reading intervention and dyslexia. This role involves working with students one-on-one and teaching a monthly course on resources and strategies for parents of children with reading difficulties.

Job Summary:
Provide academic support to students based on expertise and knowledge of the state curriculum. Provide supplemental assignments to students to help promote greater understanding of material. Provide remedial and enrichment support for students. Communicate with parents or guardians to discuss student progress. Provide a customized approach tailored to the individual needs of each student.

Requirements:
A qualified applicant will have a bachelor’s degree and will also meet at least one of the following criteria:

• You hold a valid OKC State teaching certificate or the equivalent thereof
• You are a current student teacher; pursuing a teaching certificate
• You have 2 or more years experience as a classroom teacher in a private or charter school.
• You have experience as a lecturer/course instructor at an accredited U.S. University or College
• You are a Master's/PhD student with experience as a teaching assistant at an accredited U.S. University or College
