Metro Technology Centers is accepting applications for a Nursing Services Teacher
who will be responsible for the education and supervision of the students in his/her charge embedded at Douglass High School (OKCPS) high school, utilizing a curriculum that follows the board-approved, occupation-based curriculum design, which is delivered flexibly as individual student needs dictate to develop knowledge, skills, work ethics, and compatible attitudes for employment.

• Licensed Practical Nurse (current Oklahoma license) or Registered Nurse required.
• Hold or be able to obtain OSDE/ODCTE Teacher Certification.
• Hold or obtain CPR training certification.

• Bachelor's degrees in related fields are preferred.
• At least two (2) years of nursing experience. At least one (1) year in a long-term care facility preferred.

(Above requirements may be met by an equivalent combination of education and experience.)

• Plans, prepares, and delivers instruction that supports active learning in the classroom, laboratory/shop, and/or work-based learning environment, in accordance with State, National, and/or District standards and requirements.
• Establishes clear objectives for each lesson, unit, and project, and communicates them to students.
• Studies the material and prepares for classes in advance, including gathering the necessary curriculum, supplies, and/or equipment.
• Provides a variety of learning materials and resources for educational activities.
• Selects instructional methods that meet students' varying needs.
• Includes digital instructional methods in lesson plans, such as blended learning, e-learning, and other nontraditional approaches.
• Instructs and monitors students as they use learning materials, equipment, and technology.
• Assigns and grades classwork, homework, assignments, projects, and tests, and provides prompt feedback.
• Observes and evaluates student progress and/or performance in all educational settings.
• Encourages students and monitors each student's progress.
• Ensures all eligible students are prepared to take licensure and certification exams.
