Instrumentation and Controls Engineer (Data Centers)
Jacobs is looking for an instrumentation and controls engineer to design and optimize control systems for data centers, industrial and commercial facilities. You will be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks, provide on‑site assistance during startup, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver complete, world‑class solutions.
Base Pay Range: $95,200.00/yr – $/yr
Responsibilities- Design, model, and validate control systems for a variety of processes.
- Develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation, and document design information.
- Coordinate work activities with other disciplines and the discipline lead.
- Provide on‑site support during startup and problem resolution.
- Optimize control system performance and document best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Control Systems Engineering.
- Minimum 6 years of experience with instrumentation and controls.
- Working knowledge of PLC, DCS, and other controls applications.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff.
- Experience with data center design is a plus.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred.
