The Pratt & Whitney Oklahoma City Heavy Maintenance Center (HMC) Production Engineering (PE) Manager will lead a team that provides manufacturing process engineering work instructions and technical guidance to facilitate disassembly, repair, assembly, and testing of gas-turbine engines at the maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) facility in support of production delivery schedule.
** What You Will Do
** Lead a team responsible for performing the following tasks:
* Read and provide interpretation of technical data as necessary to support production
* Lead teams reviewing and investigating process breakdowns; perform root cause and corrective action on parts and processes that are not in control. Also provide timely workscope definitions for engine and/or module repair that are comprehensive, clear, concise, cost effective, and meets customer-defined requirements
* Approve complex work control documents used for maintaining engine/module hardware and provide disposition to work control document changes using standard work processes and approved technical references for released work control documents
* Provide technical assistance when verification of proper configuration of engine/module hardware is needed
* Aid in training mechanics on new tech data that has become available as well as develop and utilize robust standard work and desktop procedures for HMC PE processes
* Perform any other related functions or support other MRO production lines as required by management to ensure the success of the enterprise and also represent PE team in high-level business discussions as well as assist in developing solutions for significant production-related problems
* Perform managerial duties which includes perform performance reviews multiple times a year, manage overtime and PTO schedules, approve weekly timecards, develop/maintain robust onboarding/training program and host regular staff meetings and team-building activities
* Must be willing to work 1st shift ), as well as extra time as necessary to ensure completion of assigned tasks; may be called in off-hours to answer job-related questions
** Qualifications You Must Have
*** Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college/university with 8+ years of experience OR
* Master’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college/university with 5+ years of experience

** Qualifications We Prefer
*** Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college/university
* Experience with enterprise resource planning systems such as SAP
* Operational experience in an MRO engine facility
* Process or manufacturing experience on gas-turbine engines
* Knowledge and experience using precision measuring instruments
