Structural Engineering Specialist - Water

We are seeking a professional Structural Engineering Specialist to join our team servicing the Water/Wastewater industry in Texas or Oklahoma.

Our engineers work on high quality, high-profile national and international projects. You will actively participate in the full project cycle, from the design phase through final construction close‑out.

• Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards.
• Develop structural engineering plans, designs, and layouts.
• Provide drawings and/or sketches for designs to be incorporated into construction drawings by drafters.
• Research design options.
• Prepare load‑combination drawings and tables for structure manufacturers.
• Review shop drawings.
• Use computer‑assisted engineering and design software to prepare engineering design documents.
• Attend and participate in project meetings.
• Perform field activities such as observation of construction progress and existing field conditions.
• Communicate project progress and issues to the design team and maintain communication with team members throughout the project.
• Manage and perform multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Calculate structure heights and weights, concrete volumes, equipment fit‑up, or other basic tasks.
• Support cost estimating with take‑offs and obtaining quotes.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Successful completion of the FE exam (EIT).
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
• Limited travel and field work required.
• Proficiency with finite element modeling software (STAAD.PRO, SAP
  2000 or RISA 3D), SPCOLUMN, LPILE, HILTI, Autodesk CIVIL 3D, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with Autodesk REVIT is beneficial.
• Candidate must be eligible for employment in the U.S., possess a valid driver’s license, and be prepared to pass periodic drug screenings and a background check.
