Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Civil / Receiving Quality Inspector with a minimum of six years of experience to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in our wind projects, ensuring that all civil works, including construction and material receiving, conform to specified quality standards and regulatory requirements. This position requires a thorough understanding of civil engineering principles and an ability to assess the quality of incoming materials as aligned with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Quality Assurance and Control:
Conduct rigorous inspections of civil works related to wind projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and specifications. - Material Inspection:
Oversee the quality of materials received on-site, verifying that they meet the project's technical requirements before approval for use in construction. - Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and quality control activities. Prepare reports outlining findings and non-conformance issues, if applicable, and recommend corrective actions. - Collaboration:
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address quality-related issues and facilitate resolution while maintaining project schedules. - Site Inspections:
Perform regular site visits to monitor ongoing construction activities, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and quality expectations. - Standards Compliance:
Familiarize yourself with and implement national and international standards related to wind energy projects, civil construction, and material specifications. - Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies related to quality control in wind energy projects. Propose process improvements where necessary. - Training and Guidance:
Provide expertise and guidance to junior staff and contractors on quality control processes and standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of six years of experience as a civil inspector or receiving quality inspector, preferably within the renewable energy sector, with a focus on wind projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and standards relevant to civil engineering and wind energy.
- Proficient in quality assurance/control processes and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ASTM, AASHTO).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present findings and recommendations.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, demonstrating effective interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with project management software and inspection tools will be an added advantage.
