Overview
Senior Roadway Project Manager – lead transportation infrastructure projects across Oklahoma. Requires deep roadway design expertise, project management best practices, and ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality, cost‑effective solutions. Strong relationships with ODOT, OTA, municipalities, and other public sector clients are essential.
Key Responsibilities- Manage full lifecycle roadway and transportation design projects from inception through construction.
- Act as primary client contact for ODOT, OTA, cities, counties, and federal agencies.
- Supervise, mentor, and grow junior engineers and project teams.
- Develop, monitor, and report on project scopes, budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
- Produce construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates per ODOT/OTA and AASHTO standards.
- Coordinate internal disciplines (survey, structures, hydraulics, construction admin) and external sub‑consultants.
- Ensure quality control and compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
- Prepare technical reports, proposals, and present to clients.
- Track project performance metrics and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Oklahoma or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive roadway design and project management experience.
- Proven track record on ODOT/OTA or similar public sector transportation projects.
- Design experience for interchanges a plus.
- Proficient in Micro Station, Open Roads Designer (ORD), and related design software.
- Strong understanding of ODOT/OTA standards, AASHTO guidelines, and federal/state funding processes.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Existing client relationships within Oklahoma’s transportation sector.
- Experience with federally funded projects and NEPA processes.
- Knowledge of local agency permitting and utility coordination.
