Boeing invites applications for the AWACS/707 Field Service Representative position. This long‑term assignment (up to 3 years) is based at Prince Sultan Air Base, Saudi Arabia, and requires travel within the Kingdom and possible deployment to U.S. DOD operations.
Job DescriptionBoeing Global Services (BGS) seeks an experienced Field Service Representative (FSR) to provide technical support for the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) AWACS and 707 tanker aircraft. The FSR will deliver “over the shoulder” guidance, troubleshoot and repair aircraft anomalies, and train RSAF personnel to maintain mission‑capable status. Professional appearance, strong communication skills, and the ability to work unsupervised are essential.
PositionResponsibilities
- Provide technical guidance for normal operation and maintenance of Saudi AWACS/707 aircraft.
- Supplement local training with informal on‑the‑job training for aircraft and support equipment.
- Investigate system and sub‑system issues; analyze hardware and software problems to determine root cause.
- Resolve technical issues involving airframe, mission, ground systems, and support equipment.
- Current U.S. passport with expiration no sooner than May 2026.
- Minimum two (2) years hands‑on maintenance experience with AWACS aircraft.
- Expertise with AWACS aircraft and ground support systems (excluding the surveillance radar system).
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, wiring schematics, and maintenance task procedures.
- Experience teaching peers in non‑classroom settings.
- Willingness to deploy and travel on short notice to multiple locations; failure to deploy may be considered resignation.
- Willingness to relocate to meet customer needs; failure to relocate may be considered resignation.
- Experience with Boeing web‑based information systems such as My Boeing Fleet, VECTOR, REDARS, and PSDS.
- Avionics systems troubleshooting skills.
- Previous military experience or extensive familiarity with military operation and maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with aircraft maintenance manuals and illustrated part catalogs.
- Airframe & Power Plant (A&P) license.
- Experience with local customs and practices.
