The Avionics Technician III is an entry-level position ideal for new graduates from Avionics or A&P technology schools. Also ideal for mechanics with less than five years of aircraft experience.

WORK LOCATION: Onsite at AAR (at Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City, OK.)
SCHEDULE (Full-Time/non-exempt and variable, 40 – 50-hour workweek)
Supervisor determines shift/days required, but we can discuss in interview process. Typically, more flexible candidates will be preferred.
- 1st Shift: 7:30am to 4:00pm or 5:30am to 4:00pm
- 2nd Shift: 3:30pm to 12:00am or 3:30pm to 2:00am
- Perform basic aircraft maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks under supervision
- Ensure aircraft are safely maintained in accordance with the Airworthiness Standards
- Use FAA approved/accepted data (i.e., IPC, M/M, OHM, SRM) proficiently
- Maintain records in compliance with FAA and company requirements
- Perform avionics repairs as assigned while meeting deadlines and quality standards
- Read and follow technical publications, schematics, and/or mechanical drawings
- Use a PC, iPad and basic computer applications and programs
- Additional job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management

- 2 years avionics experience required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Some general maintenance experience (including relevant experience outside of aviation)
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude and attention to detail are crucial
- Able to skillfully use the minimum tools required
- Fluent in English (speech, reading, writing)
- FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant license (A&P)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Knowledge of FAA regulations including 14 CFR
