Implementations Specialist

The Implementation Specialist is a staff position that works closely with Project Managers to develop in-depth technical strategies to accomplish a stated project & client goal.

• Work closely with Project Managers and solutions technicians to implement and coordinate the success of various company projects including, but not limited to, new client installations, existing client upgrades, internal service enhancements, and process definition and/or implementation.
• Provide guidance and assistance to technical staff assigned to work on project related tasks – assuming ownership of the tasks, if necessary, in order to meet deadlines.
• Track tickets associated with technical implementation and ensure all tickets are updated frequently.
• Interface directly with client executives to understand technical problems and pain points.
• Accumulate gathered information from conversations and assessments into a network review report to be used by the sales and implementation teams.
• Utilize gathered information to develop an implementation path with discreet steps necessary to migrate clients from their existing setup to the BankOnIT Bankers Private Cloud.
• Follow defined procedures, policies, and templates to implement recurring projects.
• Monitor real-time events and multi-task between various concurrent activities.

This position has no supervisory responsibility, though management of technical situation often includes coaching or guiding project team members.

This job operates in a professional office environment (both internally / externally) and travels in an automobile (or possibly an airplane). This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, scanners, and copy machines. This role routinely operates a company motor vehicle.

This is a full-time position. Hours of work and days are variable, but typically Monday through Friday. Potential weekly backup coverage rotations might be required. Implementation Specialist are expected to be on-call to assist with the successful completion of project tasks. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Periodic travel may be required for this position.

• Expert understanding of operating systems, various software applications and PC/Server/Network hardware.
• Expert understanding of principles and theories of network systems and management.
• Expert understanding of Internet technologies and products.
• Expert understanding of electrical safety procedure.
• At least five years of technical work experience or equivalent education.
• At least five relevant technical certifications (e.g, Network+, Security+, Server+, Microsoft, CCNA) or equivalent experience.
• Advanced understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Virtualization Platforms, DFS/Namespace management, and Storage management.
• Advanced understanding of servers, networking equipment, solving complex technical issues, Layer 2/3 networking devices, and VLAN configuration/setup.
• A demonstrated propensity towards and proficiency with customer end-user interaction.
• Intermediate experience implementing clients under the BankOnIT Bankers Private Cloud model.

• Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in computer science related field.
• Ten or more years of related technology work experience.
• Ten or more relevant technical certifications (e.g. Network+, Security+, Server+, Microsoft, CCNP).
