About the RoleWe are looking for a practical Electrical / Product Engineer to oversee electrical systems, drive product development, manage manufacturing operations, and foster continuous improvement within our production facility. This role is perfect for an engineer who prefers active, floor-based work over a desk-bound position. You will collaborate closely with quality, engineering, and production departments to resolve technical issues, enhance manufacturing workflows, author technical documentation, and assist in the design, testing, and deployment of automated and electrical systems.
The successful applicant will possess a blend of expertise in electrical controls and hands‑on experience in product engineering and manufacturing.

- Oversee the design, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and PLC-driven production machinery.
- Interpret, create, and refine technical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Identify the root causes of electronic or electrical equipment malfunctions to suggest effective resolutions.
- Enhance the automation of production processes by utilizing electrical controls and PLC systems.
- Manage and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure production accuracy.
- Generate and manage essential engineering documentation, including inspection logs, work instructions, and production work orders.
- Convert client specifications into actionable manufacturing, product, and electrical requirements.
- Help maintain organized production standards by documenting specifications, part numbers, and technical measurements.
- Design and update 3D models, prints, and CAD/Solid Works drawings.
- Construct and evaluate prototypes alongside production components to ensure performance.
- Execute rigorous product and electrical testing while maintaining detailed records of findings.
- Support quality assurance efforts by participating in corrective action and root-cause investigations.
- Propose improvements to engineering processes, electrical systems, and product designs to boost efficiency.
- Collaborate with production staff to help resolve manufacturing challenges on the floor.
- Monitor and inspect electrical components during the installation and production phases.
- Organize and maintain comprehensive product data, QA files, and engineering test reports.
- Share technical expertise to help train and guide production team members.
- Facilitate clear communication between management, contractors, suppliers, and production staff.
- Contribute technical insights during management and project-related meetings.
