About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Chemical Engineer to join their innovative Research & Development team in George . This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge chemical products and technologies. You will work closely with senior engineers and scientists, assisting in experimental design, data analysis, and the scaling-up of laboratory processes to pilot and production levels.

The ideal candidate is eager to learn, possesses strong theoretical knowledge, and is keen to apply their skills in a practical, hands-on environment. This role is crucial for fostering new product pipelines and enhancing existing formulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and execution of experiments to test new chemical formulations and processes.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data, presenting findings clearly to the team.
  • Support the scale-up of laboratory processes to pilot plant and full production levels.
  • Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks and prepare technical reports on experimental results.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Quality Control, and Production.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • 0-3 years of experience in a chemical R&D or process development setting.
  • Fundamental understanding of chemical principles, reaction kinetics, and material science.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment and analytical techniques.
  • Strong data analysis skills and proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, basic statistical tools).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a proactive approach to problem-solving in George .
