Description:

Role Summary As the primary electrical engineering point of contact on the shop floor, you will provide real-time production support, verify that electrical builds comply with approved design drawings, and troubleshoot design-related issues in coordination with the relevant engineering teams. You will ensure clear communication between engineering and production. You will remain an integral part of the Electrical Design Team while working closely with the shop-floor production team.

Key Responsibilities Shop-Floor Support and Build Verification Clarify electrical BOMs, schematics, wiring drawings and models for assemblers, supervisors and quality staff. Resolve shop-floor installation questions and troubleshoot incorrectly installed electrical components, sensors, wiring and controls. Audit completed installations against drawings, models and engineering documentation and record deviations. Support end-of-line testing by helping the production team complete final electrical and functional checks before product release.

Engineering Coordination and Continuous Improvement Coordinate issues between the shop floor and the Electrical Design Team; log, prioritize and track them through to closure. Report BOM, drawing and model errors to design engineers with clear supporting evidence, including photos, markups and part numbers, to enable prompt resolution. Document recurring problems and propose improvements to designs, documentation and work instructions. Hand over open items and lessons learned to the offshore electrical team, and identify work that can be assigned to them.

Required Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (or equivalent). At least 5 years of experience in electrical design or manufacturing/production engineering, ideally involving HVAC, controls or similar equipment. Strong ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts and BOMs. Working knowledge of 3D CAD (Solid Works), ECAD tools (Solid Works Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN) and PLM/ERP BOM systems.

Hands-on experience with end-of-line or functional testing and troubleshooting. Familiarity with UL, NEC and relevant electrical safety standards. Experience working in an onsite-offshore delivery model. Excellent spoken and written English, with the confidence to communicate effectively with shop-floor staff and engineers.
