Our compliance team is actively expanding to support the bank's continued growth year over year.
Role Overview: The Senior Advisory Compliance Officer is responsible for performing compliance advisory duties to support the Bank’s Compliance Management Program, ensuring adherence to banking rules, regulations, and statutory requirements.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain effective knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and guidance.
- Provide guidance to fintech partners and bank personnel on compliance matters.
- Develop oversight reporting to ensure success of fintech partner programs.
- Support development and implementation of new fintech products, ensuring compliance from inception through lifecycle.
- Align compliance monitoring activities with the Bank’s risk assessment and risk appetite.
- Assess impacts of changes to processes, products, and technology on compliance risk.
- Partner with data owners to validate data content.
- Conduct meetings with business partners and provide guidance on risks and controls.
- Update compliance policies, procedures, and training materials as needed.
- Recommend process and system updates to minimize compliance risks and improve performance.
- Monitor and investigate compliance issues, performing root cause analysis and collaborating with stakeholders.
- Stay informed on regulatory changes through research and professional development.
- Participate in third-party audits related to compliance.
- Assess the effectiveness of compliance controls.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years in banking and 1-3 years in regulatory risk management.
- CRCM certification preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving market.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills using data.
- Knowledge of banking regulations and audit processes.
- Ability to analyze compliance procedures and standards.
