Summary Statement Responsible for providing support and assistance to the Mortgage Loan Originator as well as maintaining customer communication from origination through loan closing. This individual will perform various duties that support efforts in meeting the needs of loan customers. Job functions include completing the loan application and gathering the necessary paperwork, including but not limited to, pay stubs, tax returns and bank statements to begin the loan process.

• Adheres to Loan Policy and Procedures set forth by the bank.
• Reviews residential loan application file to verify that application data is complete and meets establishment standards, including type and amount of mortgage, borrower assets, liabilities and length of employment.
• Responsible for ensuring loan documentation is complete, accurate, verified and complies with company policy.
• Order and coordinate loan documents including verifications, appraisals, title work, flood certificates, surveys, etc.
• Review file documentation and make sure all items needed are requested from borrowers or third parties.
• Performs computer input relating to loan applications, computes interest and payments.
• Monitors and ensures company deadlines are met;
  Records data on status of loans (canceled or denied);
  Reviews files to ensure compliance with rules and regulations of government agencies.
• Performs customer service duties including but not limited to: answering the telephone and handling loan customer service requests received in person or by phone.
• Monitoring tickler reports and following-up wth prequalified borrowers; working daily and monthly reports; distributes daily and monthly reports as needed.
• Advises customer by phone or in writing about loan or credit information.

College certificate is preferred but not required.

At least 1-2 years of experienced loan originating, processing and/or loan assistant work experience is required.
