As a Spatial Data Management Specialist, you will operate as a subject matter technical specialist on Spatial Data Management Program (SDM), electronic Spatial Management and Reporting Tool (eSMART) and address a wide range of questions about data management.

Location of position: Public Buildings Service, Portfolio Management Division, in Region 7.

Location to be determined at time of selection.

We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

Duties Requirements
  • US Citizenship or National (Residents of American Samoa and Swains Island)
  • Meet all eligibility criteria within 30 days of the closing date
  • Register with Selective Service if you are a male born after 12/31/1959
Qualifications

To qualify for the GS-12, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience creating, analyzing, maintaining and modifying drawings using the Automated Computer Aided Design (AutoCAD) Map 3D software; verifying accuracy of spatial data for buildings and building features; and analyzing and creating reports to track progress of construction projects.

This experience must include applying qualitative and/or quantitative methods for assessing or improving spatial data management (SDM) and providing training and/or presentations on the status of contractor accomplishments.

The GS-12 salary range starts at $82,830 per year and varies by location. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
