Registered Technologist (ARRT) providing MRI and MRA imaging services to all patients across the department. Performs a variety of imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, maintaining clinical competencies, and contributing to quality improvement activities.

Essential Functions
  • Maintain knowledge and competency to perform MRI and MRA duties.
  • Anticipate service needs for scheduled procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, physicians, staff, patients, and suppliers.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform duties and continually demonstrate competency.
Accountability
  • Reports to:

    MRI Manager or Administrative Director of Imaging
  • Supervises:
    None
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology required.
  • Registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required; MR Registry required or eligible with registry obtained within 120 days of hire.
  • One year of MRI experience under a Board Certified Radiologist preferred.
  • BLS healthcare required within 30 days of hire.

  • Strength (Lift, Carry, Push, Pull):
    Medium; may lift 20-50 lbs occasionally or 10-25 lbs constantly.
  • Standing/Walking:
    Frequently, activity exists ½ or more of the time.
  • Keyboard/Dexterity:
    Frequently, activity up to ½ of the time.
  • Talking:
    Must communicate verbally effectively.
  • Seeing:
    Yes.
  • Hearing:
    Yes.
  • Color Acuity:
    No.
Environmental Conditions
  • Moderate exposure to hazardous risks and contaminants, including potential for infections, blood, and body fluids.
  • Possible contamination or infection from accidental needle punctures.
  • Temperature variations and hard floor surfaces present.
  • Exposure to interruptions, odors; universal protective clothing required.
