Oracle Database Administrator

Delaware Nation Industries (DNI) is currently seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to support the Air Logistics Center at Tinker AFB. The position is Monday‑Friday, on‑site full time and requires an active Secret clearance.

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle Database versions (e.g., 12c, 19c) across development, test, and production environments.
• Perform routine database maintenance tasks, including patching, backup verification, and storage management.
• Monitor database performance and assist with tuning queries, indexes, and database parameters.
• Analyze existing systems and recommend technology solutions for high availability, disaster recovery, or high performance. Experience with Oracle Data Guard, Oracle recovery procedures, and Enterprise Manager (OEM) always‑on monitoring is a plus.
• Define and modify site‑specific metric values for monitoring in OEM. Create Information Publisher Reports for statistical reporting and familiarize with Oracle diagnostic reports such as ADDM and AWR.
• Develop scripts in Bash, Perl, or Python; create and schedule jobs in OEM and via crontab. Proficiency with SQL, PL/SQL, and Unix operating systems (Solaris, Linux or OEL) is required.
• Utilize Oracle Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) and implement Unified Auditing policies.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Oracle DBA or similar role.
• Deep knowledge of Oracle Database architecture, networking, memory structures, and storage concepts.
• Proficiency with SQL, PL/SQL, and basic scripting (Bash, Power Shell, or Python).
• Experience with RMAN, Data Pump, and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
• Understanding of database security principles and user/role management.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem‑solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
• Active Security+ certification (or higher).
• Active Secret clearance.
