Devon Energy is seeking a Supply Chain Data Management Professional to drive continuous improvement and excellence in supply chain data management. This role focuses on optimizing business processes, leveraging AI and advanced analytics, ensuring data quality, and supporting enterprise data needs across supply chain operations. It will serve as a key liaison between business teams and IT, supporting new data capture, integration, and reporting requirements while maintaining data standards and documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Lead continuous business process improvement initiatives within supply chain operations.
- Create and support data quality (DQ) rules and develop related reports for management and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business partners to identify and implement new data sources that address changing business requirements.
- Act as a liaison between business teams (engineers, technicians, analysts) and IT for data-related issues.
- Test new integrations and bug fixes in collaboration with the Data IT team.
- Communicate and maintain data standards for critical supply chain data sets.
- Document data glossary and articles in a data catalog.
- Serve as the point of contact for all domain-related data for A&D activities.
- Align enterprise data changes, business processes, and new data initiatives across the organization.
- Gather and document business and technical requirements from stakeholders.
- Design and deliver reports and dashboards using Spotfire, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Maintain thorough documentation of processes, standards, and data workflows.
- Explore and implement AI-driven solutions to enhance supply chain efficiency, data quality, and reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent work experience in a related field will also be considered.
- Strong understanding of the oil and gas industry supply chain and inventory management.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
- Proficient in gathering and translating requirements into actionable solutions.
- Proficient in SQL and data analysis tools.
- Experience with process automation and digital solutions.
- Proficient in reporting and visualization tools as Spotfire or Power BI.
- Experience or interest in applying AI and machine learning to supply chain and data management challenges.
- Quick learner with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Knowledge of data governance and best practices.
- Experience or familiarity with SAP/S4, especially direct setup/configuration experience with SAP Materials Management (MM) and Warehouse Management (WM) modules.
- Experience with data cataloging/documentation tools.
