Cyber Intelligence Specialist; Night-Shift

Overview

Summary/Objective

The Cyber Intelligence Technical Specialist is a staff position accountable for ensuring continuity of computer system services for system users by providing real-time device monitoring and maintenance.

Shift:

11pm-8am

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Under general supervision, provide technical software, hardware, and network problem resolution performing question/problem diagnosis in a network operating center environment.
• Monitor real-time device status, circuit status, and events – responding as necessary.
• Communicate to clients any issues or down tests.
• Address spam filtering and web content filtering requests.
• Create, filter, and close tickets.
• Communicate directly and persistently with various service vendors to hold them accountable for adherence to service levels.
• Clearly communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly professional manner and assist senior technicians as needed.
• Follow defined procedures and policies to resolve recurring tasks.
• Escalate or involve senior technicians on more complex problems.
• Perform related work as required.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, scanners, and copy machines.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Cyber Intelligence is a 24/7 department staffed in three different shifts; therefore, days and hours of work are variable and could include overnight hours and/or weekends.

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

• Basic understanding of desktop operating systems, various software applications, and PC/Server/Network hardware.
• Basic understanding of principles and theories of network systems and management.
• Basic understanding of Internet technologies and products.
• At least one year of technical work experience or equivalent education/certifications.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Two or more years of technical work experience.
• Relevant technical certifications (e.g., A+, Network+ and Security+).
