Full-time 40-hour work weeks. Supports the Information Services Division. Salary is up to $75,000 based on education and experience.
Position Responsibilities People Leadership & SupervisionProvide direct supervision to IT asset management staff, including work assignment, prioritization, and daily operational guidance. Coach, mentor, and develop team members to build technical skills, process knowledge, and professional growth. Monitor employee performance, provide regular feedback, and support performance management processes. Ensure adequate staffing coverage, workload balance, and timely completion of assigned tasks. Foster a collaborative, customer-focused, and accountable team culture.
Support onboarding and training of new staff and cross-training within the team.
Oversee day-to-day IT asset management activities, including software and hardware lifecycle tracking. Ensure consistent application of ITAM policies, procedures, and standards by team members. Review team work products for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Identify operational risks, issues, or gaps and elevate or address them appropriately. Serve as the first point of escalation for IT asset-related issues or concerns.
Collaboration & SupportWork with IT leadership to support initiatives aimed at optimizing technology spend and improving asset utilization. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support technology purchasing standards and asset governance. Act as a liaison between ITAM staff and internal customers to ensure clear communication and timely resolution of issues. Promote best practices and continuous improvement within the IT asset management function.
Tools, Reporting & ComplianceOversee the use and data integrity of the enterprise ITAM tool (Service Now). Coordinate enhancements, updates, and process improvements related to ITAM systems and workflows. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of asset metrics, compliance status, and operational performance. Support audits, contract compliance reviews, and reporting related to software licenses, warranties, and service agreements.
Training & EducationEnsure staff and stakeholders understand ITAM standards, policies, and processes. Lead or coordinate training efforts to improve awareness and adoption of asset management practices. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience OR One year of experience for each year of education if no degree OR Associate's degree and 7+ years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma or GED and 9+ years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience supervising or leading IT asset management staff or operational teams.
- Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, feedback, and performance management.
- Experience with Service Now ITAM and ITSM tools.
- Software and hardware asset management experience.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to balance hands‑on work with supervisory responsibilities.
- Relevant certifications such as ITILv3, CITAM, CSAM, or CHAMP.
