Information Technology Specialist- Networking

BASIC FUNCTION

The Information Technology Specialist has the responsibility of installing, testing, maintaining, and supporting all company provided computer hardware, software, peripherals, and systems, including patch management, asset inventory, security and monitoring, and the support of the phone system. Also, the position is responsible for answering IT tickets and calls from internal employees. The emphasis on networking will require the ideal candidate to demonstrate a proven ability to handle network hardware such as Cisco routers, Ethernet switches, firewalls, Cisco wireless devices, DNS/DHCP as well as experience with configuring and maintaining telephone infrastructure.

MAJOR ACTIVITIES

1) Providing support for all IT systems including day-to-day operations and problem resolution. Providing PC hardware and software technical support to all WEOKIE users at all sites, support for LAN/WAN connectivity and other communications issues, and executing activities on approved projects.

2) Responsible for effective provisioning, new installation/configuration and supporting existing network and network related devices, operation and maintenance of systems hardware and software related infrastructure. Ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational requirements.

3) Manage cloud-based telephone system, including the Call Center infrastructure

4) Evaluating network performance, and capacity to ensure business needs are met.

5) Assist in the support of core banking platform.

6) Performing network and systems administration (physical and virtual).

7) Performing system patch management and administration for asset monitoring, security, and inventory related tools and processes. Serving as project leader or coordinator for IT related projects as assigned.

8) Facilitating all network, PC, and peripherals product procurement/repair and managing the relationships with the vendors. Interface with vendors for trouble shooting issues and maintenance of all IT infrastructures.

15) Ensures proper policies, procedures, risk mitigation activities, and operating controls are followed. Reports gaps in policies, procedures, and operating controls to leadership to ensure member impact and risk is mitigated.

CRITICAL RESULTS

1) Ensuring that all defined systems and devices, under your area of responsibility, are fully operational and available to the employees with very little scheduled downtime.

2) Confidentiality and security are maintained regarding information systems assets.

3) Managing operating plans, priorities, projects, and other goals to ensure they are executed in a timely, efficient, and productive manner.

4) Maintaining agreements according to preset timelines for report requests, task assignments and project work; including keeping current with employee requests.

5) That all security and non-security upgrades/updates/patches to defined systems are thoroughly tested and implemented in a timely manner.
