Position Overview:

Kuiper Law Firm is seeking a highly skilled Senior Oil and Gas Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the legal intricacies within the oil and gas sector, including regulatory compliance, contracts, transactions, and litigation. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile cases and provide strategic legal counsel to a diverse client base.

• Provide expert legal advice on a wide range of oil and gas matters, including exploration, production, leasing, and royalties.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to oil and gas operations, including joint operating agreements, farm-out agreements, and service contracts.
• Represent clients in oil and gas litigation, including disputes over mineral rights, lease agreements, and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions within the oil and gas industry.
• Stay updated on federal, state, and local regulations impacting the oil and gas industry, and ensure clients are in compliance.
• Collaborate with other attorneys within the firm to provide comprehensive legal solutions to clients.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships to grow the firm's oil and gas practice.

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active State Bar membership in preferred states (OK, TX, ND, NM, CO, UT, PA)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing law with a focus on oil and gas.
• Strong understanding of the legal and regulatory framework governing the oil and gas industry in Texas.
• Proven experience in oil and gas transactional work.
• Landman experience a plus
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
