You will serve as a key voice at the executive table, shaping credit strategy for a growing, community-focused bank with a strong middle-market commercial presence. The right leader brings sound judgment, creativity, and confidence in navigating complex credits while maintaining regulatory credibility.

- Develop, refine, and enforce credit policies that balance regulatory expectations with business realities.
- Oversee credit administration across commercial, middle-market, consumer, and real estate portfolios.
- Proactively identify emerging credit risks and implement forward-looking mitigation strategies.
- Maintain strong relationships with regulators and ensure consistent regulatory compliance.
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing credit team with clear accountability and decision-making authority.
- Credit decisions reflect disciplined flexibility, not rigid policy enforcement.
- Lenders view credit as a solution-oriented partner, not a bottleneck.
- The loan portfolio grows profitably and strategically, with strong risk controls.
- The credit team operates with confidence, consistency, and commercial awareness.
- Regulators see a well-documented, well-reasoned credit culture with strong leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Significant experience as a senior credit leader with deep exposure to middle-market commercial lending.
- Strong command of:
- Complex commercial credit structures
- Credit risk management and portfolio strategy
- Regulatory compliance and examiner relationships
- Demonstrated ability to challenge lenders constructively while helping deals move forward.
- Proven people leader with a track record of developing confident, commercially minded credit teams.
- Clear communicator with the presence and judgment to influence executive-level decisions.
