Assembler at Methode Electronics
Responsibilities- Read work orders to assemble components by hand or by using small hand‑operated equipment, including soldering.
- Test, calibrate, and fit parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
- Identify units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repair as necessary.
- Maintain neat and orderly work areas and comply with all safety rules.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 0–2+ years of assembly experience.
- Basic math skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to work independently.
- 80% of this job will involve soldering; must have prior knowledge or the ability to learn the skill.
The base pay hiring rate expected for this position is $16.00 hourly.

The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, perform frequent hand motion and repetitive tasks requiring hand‑eye coordination for assembling parts, occasionally reach overhead, stand frequently, walk short distances, and sit for extended periods at a desk or workstation.
