Maintenance Technician II

Minimum Education

High School Diploma or GED required. Certificates in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, electrical or mechanical trades, or related areas, and an associate degree in a related field are preferred.

Minimum Experience

Two (2) years of experience in Industrial Maintenance / Mechatronics, with competency in at least two specialty skills such as mechanical power transmission, electrical, or PLC / Controls, including basic welding / fabrication skills. Related military experience will be considered. In lieu of experience, an associate degree or relevant certificates may be considered equivalent. Multiple certificates and degrees may be assessed for relevancy by management and HR.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to follow procedures as directed by work orders or senior technicians/management.
• Proficiency in using Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software for data entry and retrieval.
• Basic problem-solving skills for mechanical or electrical issues, including understanding of engineering formulas.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical power transmission and electrical issues through troubleshooting at multiple component levels.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills within the department, with vendors, and management to convey technical information.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other web-based applications.
• Good time management and organizational skills.

Job Conditions

• Use of hand tools and possibly power tools.
• Working in hot or cold environments.
• Standing, walking, bending, stooping, and squatting may be required.
