Responsible for weighing inbound & out‑bound deliveries of recyclable materials, and may be cross‑trained on a cashier position depending on volume of customers and yard size.

• Responsible for the accuracy of all weightings.
• Enter the correct codes for received materials.
• Maintain orderly purchasing and sales tickets.
• Responsible for end‑of‑day reports.
• Accurately count cash and pay customers.
• Perform other duties as requested.

• Previous experience in weigh or scale operations preferred.
• Basic math and computer skills required.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) required.
• Cash handling experience required.

• Organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Required to follow SIMS Metal Management and OSHA safety regulations.
• Willingness to continue to learn and grow with the company.
• Overtime may be required.
