The Sheet Metal Technician I is responsible for high proficiency in all minor through major repairs, modifications, E.A.s, with minimal supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESHighly proficient in fabrication, cold working, flap peening and jacking/shoring aircraft.
Highly proficient in using technical data and drawings to locate part numbers and accomplish repairs.
Ensure work performed adheres to high quality standards.
Effectively direct the work of less experienced mechanics.
All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree GED required.
Must have a minimum of 5 years related aviation sheet metal experience and/or training.
May or may not have an A (airframe) or P (power plant) license.
Previous experience in warehousing, handling inventory, and bar code equipment.
Constantly:
Lifting 10 lbs., standing, walking, wrist flexion and extension, environmental weather conditions.Frequently:
Lifting ≤40 lbs., push/pull
