Manufacturing Production, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Job Overview
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the welding machines to ensure quality parts are produced and delivered to the customer in a timely manner.
A Day in the Life- Operator will set up, adjust machines, and equipment to produce an acceptable quality product.
- Receive instructions, prints, and route sheets for the job; organize and plan operational duties for the assigned shift.
- Perform first-piece and continual inspections of parts using precision measuring instruments.
- Carry out all required quality tests, certifications, and production checks as directed by Quality Assurance or supervisor.
- Continuously visually inspect products, record production data, report and record scrap, and perform rework duties as assigned.
- Make routine equipment adjustments to maintain efficient processes and welding to company standards.
- Perform daily upkeep and routine maintenance to keep equipment and production area in good working order.
- Operate overhead crane, forklift, handheld grinder, and other department equipment.
- Work collaboratively as a team member.
- Must hold a nutrition or be certified as a Certified Welder or equivalent through a technical institute.
- Operator must pass the AWS Certification Test in accordance with Company Welding Policy and any other required certifications.
- Continued employment depends on successful completion of required training/certification programs.
- Proficiency with calipers, gauges, and other measuring devices.
- Ability to perform SPC procedures and tests, interpret findings, and make process adjustments accordingly.
- Navigate the HMI (Human-Machine Interface).
- Highly motivated and willing to solve problems.
