Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement an annual fundraising plan and budget for $4,000,000‑$5,000,000+ in annual contributed income.
  • Lead all contributed income efforts, including the Annual Fund, Season Sponsor ships, membership, major gifts, program support, planned giving, matching gifts, and in‑kind donations.
  • Oversee foundation, corporate, and government grant activities in collaboration with the development team, ensuring timely proposals and reporting.
  • Serve as a key solicitor for major gifts and special initiatives, cultivating and stewarding top donors and prospects.
  • Provide strategic direction for special campaigns such as capital projects and endowment growth.
  • Supervise and mentor development staff, fostering a high‑performance, collaborative team environment.
  • Oversee donor databases, systems, and reporting processes to track progress and ensure timely acknowledgments.
  • Strengthen relationships with donors, members, and stakeholders, expanding the Museum’s base of support.
  • Collaborate across departments to align fundraising with institutional programming, marketing, and strategic priorities.
  • Represent the Museum at events, cultivating goodwill and philanthropic interest in the organization.
Qualifications
  • 5–7 years of progressively responsible fundraising experience, preferably in a museum or visual arts setting.
  • Proven track record of securing major gifts and leading successful fundraising campaigns.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Skilled at managing budgets, tracking metrics, and making data‑informed decisions.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends for donor events as needed.
What We Offer
  • Full benefits package and competitive salary commensurate with experience
