The RN House Supervisor is responsible for promoting and maintaining quality patient care through effective management of nurses and staff each shift. Participates in direct care of patients and performs multiple managerial duties such as staff scheduling, staffing assignments for patient care, and bed assignments each shift, serving as a resourceful leader in the staff and works as a team member within the entire facility.
Performs other duties as assigned.
- Serves as clinical and managerial resource for staff; serves as administration after hours.
- Maintains knowledge of medications, equipment, expected patient outcomes post-surgery/recovery, rehab and anticipated complications; demonstrates critical thinking ability.
- Coordinates staffing to ensure quality patient care.
- Displays strong problem solving skills.
- Acts to protect and advance patient’s best interest.
- Satisfactorily demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties outlined in this job description and continually demonstrates competency in performing the job duties.
- Current Registered Nurse Licensure with the State of Oklahoma required.
- Minimum of one year experience in Med-Surg, Emergency, or ICU preferred.
- BLS Healthcare required within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS and PALS required within 120 days of hire.
