Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a mixed Med/Surg and Stepdown unit requiring at least one year of experience and a compact or Oklahoma RN license.

• Work on the 3rd Floor Inpatient Overflow unit, a mixed Med/Surg and Stepdown environment
• Patient population ranges from simple to complex medical cases
• Day shift position with 12-hour shifts, three days per week
• Stepdown (SD) experience and charge experience are preferred
• Provide nursing care to a varied patient population with diverse health needs
• Assume primary responsibility for an assigned group of patients
• Administer medications, monitor IV infusions and blood products, and document patient responses
• Support and delegate to support staff as needed
• Interact with patients and families to share care plans and discharge instructions
• Assist physicians with patient exams and minor procedures
• First time travelers are welcome to apply

• Active RN license from Oklahoma or a compact state
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
• Candidate must live more than 50 miles from the facility
