Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Post Surgical Unit position requiring an OK or compact RN license and at least one year of nursing experience.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital Post Surgical Unit setting
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts, three days per week
- Cares for a range of post-surgical patients with varying complexity
- Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of post-surgical patients
- Performs and documents assessments, interventions, and prescribed treatments
- Assists physicians with examinations and minor procedures
- Administers medications and manages intravenous infusions and blood products
- Interacts with patients and families to share care plans and facilitate discharge
- Delegates tasks as appropriate to supporting team members
- No local candidates permitted; must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Active Oklahoma or compact RN license required
- Minimum of one year RN experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse patients and staff
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care
