Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Post Surgical Unit daytime position requiring at least one year of experience and an active OK or compact RN license.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital-based Post Surgical Unit
- Patient population includes post-surgical adult patients with varying levels of complexity
- Schedule consists of 12-hour day shifts, working three days per week
- 13-week contract assignment
- Responsible for providing and documenting nursing care for an assigned group of post-surgical patients
- Assists physicians with exams and minor procedures as needed
- Administers medications, manages IV infusions, and monitors blood products
- Communicates effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans and discharge instructions
- Coordinates care and delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
- No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
- A six-month break is required between assignments if extending beyond 26 weeks
- Active OK or compact RN license required
- Minimum of one year RN experience in an acute care setting required
- Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required
