Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medicine Specialty unit position in a hospital setting, requiring an OK or compact RN license and at least one year of nursing experience.

• Work in a hospital Medicine Specialty Unit
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• 13-week assignment
• Care for patients with a range of health concerns from simple to complex
• Provide patient care, monitoring, medication administration, and IV therapy for a diverse patient population
• Assist physicians with exams and minor diagnostic procedures
• Document patient responses and update changes in medical orders
• Interact with patients and families regarding care plans and discharge instructions
• Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Must comply with dress code and other hospital policies

• Active OK or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA required
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
• Some computer skills required
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
