Requirements- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required (Master’s preferred)
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing (or compact license with OK residency established within 6 months)
- 3–5 years of demonstrated nursing leadership experience (Charge Nurse, Educator, or formal leadership development)
- Nursing specialty or leadership certification preferred
This Surgical Oncology unit has recently expanded to 36 beds within a modern adult patient tower, supporting patients across the full surgical continuum from pre‑op through post‑op recovery. Specialties include Gynecologic Oncology, Urology, Colorectal Surgery, Hepatobiliary, and Complex GI Oncology, with an average length of stay of 48–72 hours up to one week. The unit is supported by dedicated Care Team Associates and Health Unit Coordinators.
This role is ideal for a nurse leader ready to drive clinical excellence, operational performance, and team engagement in a fast‑paced oncology setting.
- Lead day‑to‑day clinical and operational performance of the unit
- Ensure safe, high‑quality patient care aligned with nursing standards
- Drive quality initiatives, performance metrics, and patient experience outcomes
- Oversee staffing, hiring, retention, coaching, and performance managementocation, resources, and productivity
- Develop and implement policies and ensure regulatory compliance
- Partner with physicians and senior leadership on service‑line goals
- Foster an inclusive, high‑performing team culture
