Cross Country Search is representing a well-established hospital system in the Oklahoma City area seeking Registered Nurses to join a Medicine Specialty Step-Down unit on a part-time, day-shift basis. This is a direct-hire, permanent opportunity offering strong clinical exposure, competitive specialty pay, and long-term career growth.

This 31-bed step-down unit supports patients requiring close monitoring and advanced nursing care. Nurses manage complex medical conditions and multiple IV drips in a collaborative, team-based environment designed to strengthen critical-thinking and clinical decision-making skills.

• Provide direct nursing care to high-acuity medical step-down patients
• Monitor patient status and respond to clinical changes
• Administer medications, IV infusions, blood products, and specialty drips
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge needs
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation

• 31-bed medicine specialty step-down unit
• Exposure to insulin, heparin, ketamine, and cardiac drips
• Patient populations include renal failure, liver disease, sepsis, respiratory failure, diabetes, and other complex conditions
• Collaborative, team-based care model

• RN 1: 0–3 years of RN experience
• RN 2: 3–5 years of RN experience
• RN 3: 5+ years of RN experience (specialty certification preferred)

• Active Oklahoma or Compact RN license
• BLS certification required
• ASN or BSN required (BSN required for RN 3; MSN preferred)
• Acute-care or step-down experience preferred

• Permanent, direct-hire hospital role
• Specialty-unit pay aligned to market data
• Part-time day schedule (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
