Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med Specialty Step Down position requiring an OK or compact RN license and at least one year of recent RN experience.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital-based Med Specialty Step Down unit
- Care for patients with a wide range of medical diagnoses from simple to complex
- Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
- No local candidates permitted within a 50-mile radius
- Provide comprehensive nursing care including administering medications, IVs, and blood products
- Monitor and document patients’ physiological status and responses to interventions
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
- Coordinate care plans and effective communication with patients and families regarding care and discharge
- Delegate appropriate tasks to support staff as needed
- Current OK or multistate compact RN license required
- Minimum of one year recent RN experience
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
