Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU night position requiring CVICU experience in a level I trauma setting.
Responsibilities- Work in a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU within a hospital environment
- Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, three days per week
- Level I trauma setting caring for pediatric cardiac patients
- Responsibilities include monitoring, assessing, and caring for pediatric cardiovascular patients with a range of health conditions
- Administers medications, monitors infusions, and assists physicians with diagnostic procedures and treatments
- Interacts with and educates patients’ families regarding care plans and hospital procedures
- 50-mile radius rule applies; local candidates will not be considered
- Adheres to hospital and unit protocols and participates in delegation of tasks to support staff
- Must be able to respond effectively to diverse patient cultural and language needs
- Active RN license from Oklahoma or compact (eNLC) state required
- Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Minimum of one year of CVICU experience in a level I trauma setting required
- Some computer skills required
